Why Should
Why Should My Child Read This Book?

Help your child build a loving and conscious relationship with Allah from an early age through the sweet rhythm of Zain Bhika’s delightful song-turned-picture book. The lyrics gently teach our youngest believers that Allah ﷻ is the Creator of all things—big and small—and that everything in the world comes from Him ﷻ, helping little ones form their first understanding of tawhid (the unwavering belief in Allah’s oneness).

How can I use
How Can I Use This Book?
  • Make it a game: Read the book outdoors and point to the different plants, animals and natural features around you like rocks, mountains, or the sky. Ask: “Who is the Creator of  this?” Let your child answer: “Allah!”
  • Can humans make a tree? Show your child something in nature, like a tree, and ask: Can a person make this? Guide the conversation toward understanding that only Allah creates life from nothing.
  • Introduce your child to Allah’s names Al-Khaliq (The Creator) and Al-Musawwir (The Shaper) by pointing to things around them and saying, “Allah made this—and He made it beautiful.”
  • Teach your child that nature points  back to Allah ﷻ—He is Al-Khaliq (The Creator) and Al-Musawwir (The Shaper). When we look around us and reflect on the creation, we will always return to the remembrance of the Creator. Allah reminds us many times in the Quran to reflect on His creation: Do they not ever reflect on camels—how they were ˹masterfully˺ created; and the sky—how it was raised ˹high˺; and the mountains—how they were firmly set up; and the earth—how it was levelled out? (Al-Ghashiyah 88:17-20)
  • Create a bedtime routine centered on tawhid: Use bedtime as an opportunity to nurture your child’s connection with Allah ﷻ. After settling in for the night, say these simple phrases and have your child repeat after you: “Allah sees me. Allah hears me. Allah is with me. Allah loves me. I love Allah.” To deepen the connection, ask questions like: “What did Allah see you do today?” “What did you ask Allah for?” and “When did you know Allah was with you?” End with a short and simple dua: “O Allah, thank You for seeing me, hearing me, and being with me. Help me do good tomorrow.”
