How Can I Use This Book?
- Jared has been struggling to control his anger throughout the series. In this book he finally learns self-discipline and is able to save his family (p. 114). Discuss why it’s important to keep struggling against our vices even when it’s difficult, or even when we fail. This is how we build our character.
- In The Seeing Stone (Book 2), Simon selflessly risks his life to rescue a griffin. That same griffin returns in this book to help save Simon’s mother’s life. Discuss how no kindness or good deed done to please Allah ﷻ is ever wasted. Sometimes you will see a direct benefit in this life, and sometimes we must wait until the next life, but it will always have an effect on your heart.
